HOTEL KUU KYOTO was designed under the concept of being “location-friendly.”

“KUU” is the Japanese word for “space.” However, rather than focusing on the emptiness of a given space, or on how individuals and objects can be separated by space, the name was chosen to emphasize how the space connects us with not only others but with all things. It emphasizes the ever-evolving harmony between everything in the world and how our lives are built on helping each other.
